Google Analytics “Site Speed” Alternatives? (2023)
I’d written earlier about Google discontinuing support for Universal Analytics and migrating everyone to GA4.
There are several alternatives to Google Analytics‘ “Site Speed” feature that provide similar or more comprehensive insights into website performance. Here are a few options:
- Pingdom: Pingdom is a popular website monitoring tool that includes a page speed testing feature. It allows you to test the load time of a website from different locations around the world and provides a detailed breakdown of each element on the page, including images, scripts, and stylesheets. The tool also provides suggestions for improving page speed and monitors website uptime.
- GTmetrix: GTmetrix is another website speed testing tool that analyzes website performance and provides detailed reports on page load time, page size, and other performance metrics. It also offers recommendations for improving website speed and integrates with several other tools, including Google PageSpeed Insights and YSlow.
- WebPageTest: WebPageTest is an open-source tool that allows you to test website performance from multiple locations around the world and provides detailed reports on page speed, load time, and other performance metrics. It also offers advanced features such as video playback of the page loading process and the ability to test websites on different devices and browsers.
- DareBoost: DareBoost is a comprehensive website performance monitoring tool that provides detailed reports on page speed, load time, and other performance metrics. It also offers suggestions for improving website speed and integrates with several other tools, including Google Analytics, Google PageSpeed Insights, and YSlow.
- Site24x7: Site24x7 is a website monitoring tool that includes a page speed testing feature. It allows you to test website performance from different locations around the world and provides detailed reports on page speed, load time, and other performance metrics. It also offers real-time monitoring of website uptime and integrates with several other tools, including Google Analytics.
Overall, these alternatives offer similar or more comprehensive insights into website performance than Google Analytics‘ Site Speed feature. It’s worth trying out a few of them to see which one works best for your needs.
